Local Congressman Tours Sustainable Business Center
Galesburg's Sustainable Business Center played host to a local congressman Thursday who says he's impressed with the city's commitment to green energy.

17th District Congressman Bobby Schilling met with tenants inside the incubator and had lunch at the home-grown cafe "En Season." He says the SBC's position couldn't be located any better in the country than in Galesburg because of its central location.

Schilling says the city is prepared to bounce-back economically, and feel's it's dedication to sustainable energy is a key to the future in turning the nation's debt around.

"We have to have a vision, number one, and to realize that we can't continue to go on as we've gone in the past, and just to try to as much as possible," Schilling said. "And I know it's tough, people always look at were $15.5 trillion in debt."

"But we have to focus in on green energy, and we've got to focus in not on what we can't do, but what we can do."

The Colona Republican says he supports investing into start-up companies and entrepreneurs like the ones housed inside the Sustainable Business Center.

According to Schilling, entrepreneurs risk big for a great reward, and deserve financial support early on. He says doing so is an investment into the national economy.
