|Four Injured and One Dead After Accident
|Around 10 pm Thursday the Fulton County Sheriff's deputies and the Lewistown Fire and Rescue responded to a report of a traffic accident about a half mile east of Loveland Road and Hillside Road in rural Lewistown.
A 2006 Chevrolet with five people inside had been traveling westbound on Hillside road when they exited the south side of the roadway hitting tree on the passenger side.
Emergency crews helped with the extraction of two juveniles who were trapped inside due to the crash.
One 15 year old male and one 17 year old female were taken to Graham Hospital for treatment.
The 17 year old was later transported to OSF St. Francis Trauma Treatment Unit.
Both minors have since been released into the custody of their parents and according to a new release from the Fulton County Sheriff's Department both Juveniles were given intake referrals for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor.
18 year old Kailey Darnell was transported to to Mason District hospital for medical treatment and the fourth passenger 19 year old Constance Lane suffered sever injuries resulting in her death.
She was pronounced dead at the scene by the Fulton County Coroner.
The driver 20 year old Sarah Holmes was transported to Graham Hospital.
During their initial investigation of the incident officers discovered that those in the car were drinking and found several open and un-open cans of alcohol.
Holmes was issued citation for Illegal consumption of Alcohol by a minor, driving under the influence and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
Darnell was issued a ticket for illegal consumption of alcohol.
The investigation is still ongoing.
