Terminally Ill Knox County Jail Inmate's Bond Reduced

A Galesburg woman facing drug and weapons-related charges received a reduction in her bond amount Friday in Knox County Circuit Court.

40-year old Lisa Paulsgrove was granted a reduction from 20-thousand dollars to 5-thousand dollars because she claims she's terminally ill and needs special medical treatment.

Judge Steven Bordner agreed to the bond reduction, but specified Paulsgrove is to stay in Knox County and is on house arrest unless she's receiving treatment or appearing in court.

Paulsgrove was arrested April 24th for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession with Intent to Deliver, Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Criminal Fortification of a Residence and Possession of a firearm without a Firearm Owner's I.D. Card.

Authorities from multiple law enforcement agencies executed a search warrant at her residence at 578 Holton Street, which allegedly turned up crack cocaine, marijuana, and a thousand dollars in cash, along with a gun reported stolen from Knoxville four years ago. Police say they also discovered surveillance cameras outside the home and the front door was boarded up.

Paulsgrove is due back in court again on May 28th.
