Police Investigate Armed Robbery Report at Drug Store

Galesburg police are searching for a suspect in the alleged armed robbery of a local drug store Saturday afternoon.

Police were advised of the incident around 4:45 p.m. Reports indicate a man wearing a gray jogging suit and an orange ski mask entered Turner Prescription Center at 12 Public Square armed with a knife and demanded Oxycontin, a prescription drug.

Two employees who were in the store at the time told police the suspect made off what they believe were a few bottles of pills and might have exited the business westbound. The suspect was further described as a white male in his mid-20's to early 30's.

Nobody was hurt, and police say no arrests have been made yet in the case.
