Zephyr Dome and Food on 205 Board Agenda

Now that a number of major hirings and firings have been completed by the Galesburg School Board, other end-of-year matters will be considered tonight.

The District 205 School Board will consider renewing an annual contract with food service provider Aramark.  Officials say this is the last time they can renew their contract with Aramark before it has to be rebid.

There's a built-in four-percent increase in the cost of food service for the district, however, based on the Consumer Price Index.

Before tonight's seven o'clock meeting, the district's Building Committee is also expected to meet, and hear an update on proposals regarding the status of the former Lombard Middle School Gym, also known as the Zephyr Dome.

The district will also honor retirees prior to tonight's meeting at the district's administrative headquarters at Lincoln School.
