Fulton County Man Facing Drug Charges
A man walking along a road in Fulton County awaits formal drug charges after an incident over the weekend.

Fulton County Sheriff Jeff Standard says 31-year old Michael W. Thomas of Canton was walking along Illinois Route 100 between Bryant and St. David around 2:30 Sunday morning. Deputies checking on his well being discovered Thomas to allegedly be in possession of cannabis and a metal smoking pipe.

Deputies took Thomas into custody and transported him to the Fulton County Jail, where his faces preliminary charges of possession of 10-30 grams of cannabis, possession of 10-30 grams of cannabis with intent to deliver, and drug paraphernalia possession.

Thomas remains in custody of the Fulton County Sheriff and awaits a court appearance on Monday.
