Possible Change of Venue in Drew Peterson Case
The attorney for the former Bolingbrook police Sergeant who has been charged with first degree murder in the 2004 drowning death of his third wife, says he may ask for a change of venue for his client. Attorney Joel Brodsky seems to fell Drew Peterson won't be able to get a fair trial in Will County because there's been so much negative publicity about Peterson.

Brodksy also thinks the $20 million bond that Will County State's Attorney, James Glasgow requested and received was excessive. Brodsky says other defendants who've been charged with the same kind of crime have much lower bonds, bonds they can reasonably expect to pay. Peterson would have to come up with $2 million in cash in order to get out of jail.

Brodsky says his client uses humor to relieve stress -- and that's why he joked about his leg shackles as "bling" and his jail jumpsuit when he appeared in court last week. Brodsky says Peterson really does appreciate the seriousness of the situation.

Peterson has been named a suspect in the disappearance of his fourth wife, Stacy, who has been missing for 18 months. Both Stacy and Kathleen had expressed to friends concern about threats from Peterson. The Will County State's Attorney plans to ask for an exclusion to the state's hearsay rule in order to use what Kathleen Savio said about Peterson to her friends and relatives as a way to prosecute Peterson.
