Court Appearance for Abingdon Woman Facing Drug Charges
An area woman that was arrested after a traffic stop last week in Galesburg, will be heading to a preliminary hearing later this month after appearing in Knox County Court.

33-year old Amanda Yoho of Abingdon faces four felony drug counts after a vehicle she was riding in last Saturday was pulled over by police authorities around 10:30 near U.S. Route 34 and Interstate 74. Officials say intelligence gained throughout a two-month drug investigation and an alert with a city K-9 unit led to a search warrant for the truck she was in with an Evanston man. Authorities later conducted a search of the vehicle and allegedly found 43 grams of crack cocaine and 50 ecstasy tablets that were hidden in the passenger side door.

Yoho was in Knox County Court Friday and requested a preliminary hearing through public defender Jim Harrell. Knox County Associate Judge Dwayne Morrison also included a bond reduction hearing for Yoho when she returns to court on May 18th.

She faces Class-X felonies of Unlawful possession with intent to deliver and manufacturing and delivery of between 10 and 100 grams of cocaine, as well as other drug related felonies.

Yoho has a bond set at $100,000 while she awaits her next time in court in the Knox County Jail.
