More Blago Wiretaps To Be Released
A federal judge in Chicago, Tuesday, approved the release of a wiretap of the brother of former Gov. Rod Blagojevich speaking with Roland Burris about an appointment to the U.S. Senate.

The judge approved the release of the tape at the request of the U.S. Senate Ethics Committee, which is investigating whether Burris promised Blagojevich anything in return for the appointment. Burris says he didn't.

U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL.) says nobody should be shocked, and he expects his conversation with the former governor to be released at some point too. Durbin says he wished to speak with Blagojevich last fall about candidates to replace Barack Obama in the Senate when Obama was elected president. Durbin says it took about three weeks for the phone call to occur, and he says he doubts the governor took much heed to his suggestions.

The Burris conversation is with Robert Blagojevich, who is facing federal corruption charges along with his ex-governor brother. Robert Blagojevich was the head of his brother's campaign fund.

Burris was appointed to the Senate in December.
