Reward Offered through Warren County Crimestoppers for Information Related to Deaths Following January Party in Rural Wataga
The deaths of two men following a party in Knox County earlier this year is prompting a cash reward for information that leads to a conviction in the case.

Local and state authorities were called to 724 Knox Road 2350 North in rural Wataga on January 17th after one person was reported to be unresponsive. Police say they found 26-year old Daniel Hall of Wataga fully clothed lying on a bathroom floor at the home. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police later learned that 19-year old Benjamin Fritz, who lived at the residence where the party was thrown, had been taken to OSF Saint Mary Medical Center. Fritz was pronounced dead at the hospital. Investigators have since determined the two men died after overdosing on morphine and a combination of either alcohol or other illicit drugs. Authorities have said they don't suspect foul play in either man's death.

No arrests have been made in connection to what police described at the time as a large party. Warren County Crimestoppers said Tuesday that an anonymous person is offering a $2,000 cash reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of any suspects involved in the drug overdose deaths of Hall and Fritz.

Officials say the reward will only be paid through Warren County Crimestoppers, and that callers will remain anonymous if they choose. The phone number is 309-734-9363.
