Kirk Non-Committal on Sarah Palin
The Republican candidate for U.S. Senate refuses to be pinned down on where he stands on Sarah Palin.

Palin, the 2008 Republican nominee for vice president and darling of the conservative Tea Party movement, is visiting Illinois on Wednesday. Her appearance in Rosemont is a fund-raiser for the state Republican Party. Kirk won't be there, and he has refused to answer direct questions about whether he wants the support of Palin and the Tea Partiers.

Kirk says he needs supports from independents and some Democrats in order to win, and many of those voters are turned off by Palin.

Palin appeared in Washington , Ill. last month at a fund-raiser for the local community center.
