Fight Over Blago Trial Date
CHICAGO (AP) -- With the fight over the starting date of former Gov. Rod Blagojevich's corruption trial heating up, the presiding judge has called in prosecutors and defense attorneys for an unscheduled meeting.

Judge James Zagel told both sides Monday to be in court Tuesday morning. He didn't say the scheduled June 3 start of the trial was the reason. But defense attorneys have been fighting since Friday in a federal appeals court to force Zagel to grant a postponement.

They say a June 3 start would be unfair. Prosecutors say their effort is frivolous.

Blagojevich has pleaded not guilty to scheming to sell or trade former President Obama's former U.S. Senate seat.
