Blago Subpoenas Senate Leader Reid
CHICAGO (AP) -- Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's office says he has been subpoenaed for ousted Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich's upcoming corruption trial.

Spokesman Jim Manley said Thursday that Reid's attorney received the subpoena, but it doesn't mean Reid will testify.

The trial is scheduled to begin June 3. Blagojevich has pleaded not guilty to charges of trying to sell or trade President Barack Obama's old Senate seat and plotting to illegally pressure potential campaign contributors.

The former governor has said he wanted to subpoena Reid because the two had discussed Blagojevich's plans for appointing someone to the seat. U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin also has been subpoenaed.

Blagojevich wanted to subpoena Obama but the trial judge won't allow it.
