Knox County Board to Vote on Nursing Home Administrator Contract Tuesday
The contract that was apparently anything but final last Wednesday night for the new administrator of the Knox County Nursing Home apparently is now.

The Knox County Board will hold a special meeting Tuesday to consider the contract of Kathryn Kopsack to replace Marianne Weisen as administrator later this month.

When the question came up last Wednesday, a salary hadn't yet been worked out, and board members didn't want to vote on a contract until it was.

Following last Wednesday's meeting, County Board Chair Greg Bacon told WGIL he thinks the board will be satisfied with the choice.

"Her resume' -- she's done things in troubled homes before...out east and stuff like that," Bacon said. "(Kopsack has) always brought things around."

Bacon says what's more, Kopsack -- currently administrator of the Monmouth Nursing Home -- is "very well liked."

Weisen is reportedly retiring May 14th after five years at the Knox County Nursing Home, but never responded to WGIL's request for an interview.

The Knox County Board will meet at 6:30pm Tuesday at the Knox County Annex.
