Two People Shot to Death at Old Navy Store in Chicago's Loop
CHICAGO (AP) -- Police in Chicago say a man and a woman are dead after an apparent murder-suicide shooting at the Old Navy clothing store in the heart of the city's Loop retail corridor.

Chief of Patrol Eugene Williams says Old Navy workers flagged down officers on a routine patrol at about 11 a.m. Friday. The victims were found in an employee-only area in the basement of the store away from the retail floors.

Williams didn't release the names of those shot but says they were in their 20s.

Chicago Police Officer John Mirabelli says it appears they were involved in a domestic dispute.

After the shooting, crowds of pedestrians gathered on the sidewalk outside the shuttered store, which is just blocks from Chicago's City Hall. Yellow police tape blocked off the scene.
