Flooding Causing Transporation Hiccups
(IRN)-There are transportation problems because of the high water on the Ohio and Mississippi rivers.

The Amtrak City of New Orleans is cut off, not running north of Memphis. The train is not being replaced between Carbondale and Chicago. Passengers have to take one of the two local trains that are running. Amtrak spokesman Marc Magliari says the full length of the route might be restored by this weekend.

On the roads, the U.S. 45 bridge at Brookport is now open. The U.S. 51 bridge at Cairo is still closed due to flooding, and the U.S. 60-62 bridge is closed for repairs.

The Cave-in-Rock ferry on Route 1 is not operating.
