Teen Enters Guilty Plea for Sex Crime
An 18 year Galesburg man has pleaded guilty to a criminal sex charge.

Kory Agans entered the plea in Knox County Circuit Court Thursday to one count sexual exploitation of a child, during what was supposed to be a pretrial hearing.

In the partially negotiated plea, the prosecution asked for Agans to serve 90 days in jail, pay for all court costs and fees and complete any treatment options he may face.

A sentence was not handed down Thursday as a sentencing hearing will take place July 28th at 1:30 in the afternoon. Agans is accused of exposing himself to a five year old girl in July of 2010.

Under the conditions of the plea, Agans would have no contact with the victim, but that all depends on the actual punishment Judge Paul Mangieri thinks is appropriate as he does not have to follow the suggested sentence laid out in the negotiated plea.

The Class 4 felony carries a maximum punishment of three years in prison and a $25,000 fine.
