Woman Dies in Fulton County Crash
A Fulton County resident is dead after a two-vehicle crash Monday morning.

The Fulton County Sheriffs Department says the accident was first reported around 8:05am Monday morning on Route 24, about a half-mile south of Astoria.

They say a preliminary investigation revealed that a vehicle driven by 70-year old Nancy Burnett of Astoria was travelling southbound on Route 24 when she somehow crossed the center line and struck a utility truck driven by 59-year old Lloyd Ramsey of Galesburg.

Fulton County Coroner Steve Hines pronounced Burnett dead at the scene.

Ramsey was transported to a hospital in Rushville with what deputies said were minor injuries.

An investigation into the crash continues.
