Intellihot Ready to Begin Operations
A business Galesburg successfully got to locate in town says it's ready to begin full-scale production.

Intellihot Green Technologies says in a statement issued by the City of Galesburg Wednesday that they will begin manufacturing of their tankless water heaters May 27th

The company will host an open house that day at their current center of operations, Galesburg's Sustainable Business Center, where a public viewing of their water heaters will take place.

Also at that ceremony, the city's press release indicates that Mayor Sal Garza will buy Intellihot's first water heater. Garza says in the press release that the city is excited to have what he calls a cutting edge company in Galesburg.

Formed by two now-former Caterpillar employees, the company says "This is American innovation at its best."

The ceremony marking Intellihot's operations starting up will be from 10 to 11:30 am a week from Friday at the Sustainable Business Center, the former Carhartt plant on West Main Street.
