Cross: Hard Feelings Complicating Legislative Session
CHICAGO (AP) -- Illinois House Minority Leader Tom Cross says hard feelings over Democrat-led redistricting are complicating the last few weeks of the legislative session.

The Oswego Republican made his comments Friday during a taping of WBBM-AM's "At Issue'' public affairs news show. It airs on Sunday.

Cross says lawmakers still have big ticket items to deal with in Springfield, from the budget to pension reforms and workers compensation changes.

He says he'd hoped lawmakers would have dealt with those big issues before the chaos of the redistricting maps began.

Democrats are in charge of the mapping process because they control the Illinois House, Senate and governorship. It's done every decade based on new Census numbers.
