Woman Injured After Being Attacked by Dogs
A Warren County resident is hospitalized after the sheriff says her two dogs attacked her.

Warren County Sheriff Martin Edwards says deputies were called to an address near Monmouth he did not specify Thursday, after a report came in of someone calling for help.

Edwards says the first deputy on scene determined that the 36 year old woman he declined to identify was being mauled by two American Bulldogs.

He says the woman was taken to OSF Holy Family Medical Center in Monmouth, but her condition isn't known.

Edwards says the deputy was forced to kill the two dogs so that the victim could be
saved.

The Warren County Animal Control Officer has taken custody of the bodies of the two dogs, and is conducting an investigation.
