Blago Defense Witnesses: Who Knows
(IRN) -- Attorneys on both sides in the corruption re-trial of ex-Gov. Rod Blagojevich met in court Friday to determine the defense’s course of action when the trial resumes on Monday.

Defense attorneys still aren't saying who would be called to the stand but have said many people have been subpoenaed. In fact, lead attorney Sheldon Sorosky says subpoenas from the first trial remain valid.

Judge James B. Zagel told prosecutors at the hearing Friday that he didn't want the defense to have to reveal "whatever surprise is in their arsenal" to the government. Defense attorneys haven't said publicly what witnesses they intend to call. They've only said they are people "of some prominence."

The jury had Friday off and is due back in court Monday.

Blagojevich faces 20 counts, including allegations he tried to sell or trade a U.S. Senate seat for campaign contributions.
