Folks at Oprah's Angel Lane Sad That Show Ends
HOUSTON (AP) -- Some residents of Angel Lane in Houston have fond thoughts of Oprah Winfrey and how she helped them recover from hurricanes.

They were among the TV viewers Wednesday to watch Winfrey's final show in a 25-year run.

Winfrey in 2005 donated $10 million to help build homes for survivors of hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Her fans gave $5 million. Habitat for Humanity and others helped with the rest.

Hurricane Rita survivor Yvette Bynum, who's from Daisetta, told KHOU-TV that she'd be living under a bridge if not for the house on Angel Lane.

Jaime Cunningham, who's from New Orleans, lives across the street. Cunningham's home was destroyed during Katrina.

Cunningham says it's going to be hard for fans who had loved to watch Winfrey's show every day.
