One of Six Armed Robbers Pleads Guilty
One of six men accused in a December armed robbery has pleaded guilty in Knox County Circuit Court Thursday.

18 year old Shane Tatum of Skokie was scheduled for a status hearing Thursday but instead entered a partially negotiated guilty plea to one charge of armed robbery by accountability.

Tatum is accused along with five others, 20 year old Albert Prater also of Skokie, 19 year old Jekorey Green of Detroit, Michigan, and 17 year old Seville Boyd, 21 year old Searcy Boyd, 21 year old Bryan Vann all of Galesburg of robbing the Grand Liquor store in Galesburg December 20th.

Three of the men allegedly entered the store and are seen jumping over the counter thanks to a security camera footage collected by the Galesburg Police Department.

Tatum, who carried a gun, can be identified according to the prosecution due to his height, at six-foot-five, over the other men.

The Class-X felony carries a minimum sentence of six years in prison or a maximum of 30 years along with a 25-thousand dollar fine. Tatum will be sentenced July 28th.
