The victim, a 37 year old female was found at her neighbor's home with blood on her arms and face. The woman told police she had been arguing with 50 year old James Booker because he was at her house despite the fact she had an order of protection against him.

They, however, followed a trail of blood splatter from the door to the bedroom were a six inch, non serrated steak knife lay on the ground covered in blood.

The woman was transported to OSF St. Mary's Medical Center where seven stab wounds were found on her face, arms, and abdomen.

Booker returned to the home around 10:00 p.m. where he was arrested for aggravated domestic battery, violating an order of protection, and murder or intent to kill or injure someone.

Booker awaits his first court appearance in the Knox County Jail, the woman's condition is unknown.
