Morlang Pleads Guilty to Theft
A Galesburg woman has pleaded guilty to stealing from her former employer.

In Knox County Circuit Court Thursday 36 year old Nina Morlang pleaded guilty to one count of theft between $300 to $10,000 which is a class three felony.

As part of the negotiated plea, five other counts of theft against her were dropped.
Morlang is accused of stealing about $80,000 from the Knox Pet Clinic while she was a business manager there from 2008 to 2010.

A sentencing date is set for July 7th in the case and Morlang faces a maximum of three five years in prison, a $25,000 fine, and up to a year of probation.

Though Morlang pleaded guilty to theft between $300 to $10,000 Judge Paul Mangieri could sentence restitution payment of more that 410,000, which is also part of the plea agreement.
