Master Facilities Plan Again Tops on School Board Agenda
Two parts of the 110-million dollar Master Facilities Plan still under development in the Galesburg School District will be on top of the District-205 school board agenda tonight.

The District-205 board is expected to approve the schematic design for Steele Elementary School, the second part of the first portion of the plan.

Architects and school officials have been meeting with the public and teachers at Steele for months getting the renovations including classroom and storage space in tact. If approved Monday, architects are expected to start working on more serious design plans.

Some bids that the board held off on approving last month for the renovations about to begin at Lombard Middle School will also be up for consideration tonight. District administrators said they were concerned about some of the bids for a few aspects of the project, so they wanted to make sure they were doing their due diligence.

The Galesburg School District will also honor those who will be retiring at the end of the school year when they meet at 7 o'clock Monday evening at Lincoln School.
