16-year-old Wanted for Suspected Galesburg Home Invasion
A Chicago teenager is wanted for suspected home invasion, aggravated battery, and criminal damage to property in an alleged incident at a Galesburg apartment occurring over the weekend.

Police say the 16-year-old male was banned from being at 912 North Kellogg Street, yet arrived there around a quarter to five Saturday afternoon. They say the property owner was repairing a door that was allegedly damaged earlier by the suspected teen.

According to a police report, the suspect was warned he couldn't be on the property and became upset when the property owner told him to leave. Police say the teen then kicked out the door of the apartment, which was to his girlfriend's residence.

The 79-year-old owner claims he was next struck in the stomach. However one witness tells police the teen kicked the owner in the leg after allegedly waving a paintbrush in the teen's face.

Police say the teen fled the scene before they arrived Saturday afternoon. If you have any information regarding this incident, please contact the Galesburg Police Department or the Galesburg-Area Crimestoppers hotline.
