BREAKING NEWS: Victim of Fatal Train Accident Identified
FIRST REPORTED 3:41pm 5/22/12 Galesburg Police say a woman died late Monday night as the result of an accident involving a person and a freight train.

Galesburg Police the accident happened around 10:45pm Monday on the railroad tracks near the intersection of West and North Water Streets.

Police say 47-year old Susan Corzatt was pronounced dead at the scene. Sources say she was seen laying down on the tracks at the time of the accident, and police say Corzatt was the victim of an apparent suicide.

It's not clear how long the train in that area might have been stopped, but police say Burlington Northern Santa Fe called in the accident.

Officials are so far releasing no more information.

Funeral arrangements have yet to be announced.
