Alleged Galesburg Baby-Shaker Granted Bond Reduction
A 26-year-old Galesburg man accused of shaking and injuring a 10-week-old baby saw his bond lowered Tuesday.

Knox County Circuit Court records indicate Judge James Stewart reduced Larry Pearcy's bond from $250,000-dollars to $50,000-dollars. Pearcy must pay 10-percent, or $5,000-dollars, to make bail.

Prosecutors suspect Pearcy of shaking the infant so violently on April 21st the child had to be life-flighted with un-specified injuries to a Peoria hospital. Directly following the incident, State Troopers stated the baby was expected to make a full recovery.

Felony charges filed against Pearcy include two counts of Aggravated Battery of a Child, one a Class-X, the other a Class-Three, and Aggravated Domestic Battery. Public Defender Karl Johnson is representing him.

Conditions of Pearcy's bail stipulate he can't have any contact with the victim without the Department of Children and Family Services' permission.

Court documents show a Return of Subpoena Hearing is slated for June seventh. Pearcy's Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for July second.
