Woman Accused of Hiding Child Sex Abuse Pleads Not Guilty
A Chicago woman suspected of not telling authorities about a Galesburg man allegedly sexually abusing a child has pleaded not guilty.

26-year-old Angel Holloway was arraigned in Knox County Circuit Court Thursday. In addition to her innocence plea, court documents show she requested a trial by jury. A Pre-trial conference is set for July second.

Earlier this week Holloway's bond was reduced from $100,000 to $25,000 on multiple charges accusing her of child endangerment and permitting the sexual abuse of a child. Prosecutors allege that since December she knew about the suspected sex acts 27-year-old Calvin Williams, of Galesburg, had been committing with a young child. Yet they say she failed to alert police until early last month, putting others at risk.

Williams allegedly began sexually interacting with a then 8-year-old child in September of 2010 up through April. He's been charged with several felonies including three Class-X counts of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a Child.

Williams' Preliminary Hearing will be Monday. He remains jailed on $200,000 bond.
