Domestic Spat Leads to Fulton County Crash
A suspected domestic dispute on the road between a Canton couple led to an early Sunday morning crash.

Fulton County Sheriffs Deputies say they responded to a report of a 2001 Ford pick-up truck in a ditch just east of Banner prior to 1 am. The driver, 38-year-old Terence Stufflebeam, and passenger, 41-year-old Carmella Wilson, both of Canton, were unharmed.

Before the truck exited the roadway on U-S Route 24, Deputies say Stufflebeam and Wilson were engaged in an argument. They say Wilson allegedly began to strike Stufflebeam in the head and face, causing him to drive into the ditch.

According to release from the Sheriffs Department, Wilson was placed under arrest for Domestic Battery. Further investigation revealed Stufflebeam had been drinking alcohol. He was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.

Deputies say he has since been released on bond from Fulton County Jail. However, Wilson remains jailed pending a bond hearing.
