Congressman Holding Town Hall Style Meeting by Phone
A local congressman says if you live in his district, you might want to consider giving him a call Monday night.

17th District Congressman Phil Hare is hosting a town hall meeting Monday night, but he says he's doing it by telephone.

Hare's office says in a statement that some new computer technology will be utilized so that residents can take part in the "virtual town hall" meeting by dialing a special phone number.

Hare's office says the technology will call thousands of residents automatically to ask them if they want to take part, but says there is a number to call in order to take part in the q-and-a.

The number is toll-free…1-866-447-5149, and then you must dial pin number 13812. The town hall is from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday.
