CSC Budget Tops Meeting Agenda
The Carl Sandburg College Board of Trustees is expected to give its final approval to the budget for the coming year Thursday night.

That's the main item on the agenda for the C-S-C board meeting. A public hearing will be held on the budget at 6:30 p-m. A month ago, C-S-C president Tom Schmidt said he didn't expect many changes between then and now to a proposed 15-point-5 million dollar spending plan.

The budget, Schmidt says, is about two-percent lower over the previous year, and reflects about a half-million dollars in cuts made over the past several years.

The regular meeting and the vote on the budget starts at 7 p-m Thursday in the board room in the C-S-C administrative building.

That building will also play host Friday to the quarterly meeting of the Illinois Student Assistance Commission, at the college's invitation, at 10:30 a-m.
