Bonds Reduced in Galesburg Drug Case
Two Galesburg residents waived their rights to a preliminary hearing Monday on felony drug charges.

25-year old Carnail Grayson entered a not guilty plea and demanded a jury trial and 34-year old Beverly Wright had her arraignment date set for June 26th at 9:30 am. Grayson and Wright were also granted bond reductions. Grayson's bond went from $500,000 to $250,000, and Wright's decreased from $100,000 to $250,000.

Grayson and Wright were arrested when Galesburg Police, the Multi-County Narcotics Enforcement Group and a State Police Tactical Response team went to a home in the 300-hundred block of Holton Street to execute a search warrant last month and allegedly found crack cocaine, powdered cocaine, cannabis and a .38-caliber revolver with ammunition.

Another search of a vehicle parked in front of the home turned up what was believed to have been more than 2,500 of cannabis and more crack cocaine.
