Four Arrested After Shots Reported Fired from Galesburg Aldi's Parking Lot
POSTED: 10:23am 6/9/09 Four Peoria residents have all been arrested after police in Galesburg say they were involved in an altercation here that led to gunshots being fired.

Galesburg Police aren't releasing too many details, but say officers were first called to a disturbance around seven o'clock Monday night in the 12-hundred block of North Cedar Street, and at the same time, shots fired in the parking lot of the Aldi Foods store at Main and Henderson Streets -- incidents police say they later determined were related.

Witnesses told police they saw suspects fleeing the Cedar Street residence on foot, and believe the incident at Aldi's involved the same four individuals.

Police say they arrested 18-year olds Fayez Samhan, Markell Clark, and Detrick Harris, and 17-year old Anthony Williams when they were located a short time later near the Cedar Fork waterway on South Henderson Street.

All four face preliminary charges of Armed Robbery, Home Invasion, and Unlawful Use of Weapons. Samhan faces additional charges of Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm and Reckless Conduct.

The four are in the Knox County Jail pending court appearances.
