Warren County Confirms First Case of "Swine Flu"
Add Warren County to list list of counties in the state that has at least one case of what is commonly referred to as swine flu, but what health officials actually call the H1N1 virus.

The Warren County Health Department says they've received notification of their first official case. Not much is known about the victim, as health department officials aren't saying much, but they are saying that the person is successfully recovering, and that the case isn't believed to be serious.

That's the same word officials at the Knox County Health Department gave about each of the three cases they reported last month. None have been reported since then.

Warren is one of 23 counties to confirm the virus being present; most of those, however, remain in the Chicago area, with some scattered throughout other parts of the state. In total, statewide H1N1 cases are nearing 2,000, while there are only five reported deaths.

The Warren County Health Department says the easy way to keep H1N1 from spreading is simple: wash your hands often, staying home when sick -- they suggest seven days -- and covering your mouth when you cough. Symptoms, they say, are like that of the regular flu.
