State Police Make Big Cocaine Bust in Henry County
Two men are jailed after state authorities say they made a major drug arrest on Interstate 80 in Henry County.

State police at District 7 in East Moline say troopers stopped a semi truck tractor/trailer combination for speeding last Sunday just after 6:30 p-m on I-80 near Mile Marker 31 - two miles east of Annawan.

Authorities say a search of the vehicle turned up 95 kilos of cocaine and they took two men into custody: 42-year old Armando Medina-Lopez of Phoenix, who police say was driving, and 52-year old Jesus Francisco Perez-Soto of Mexico, a passenger.

They are being held in the Henry County Jail on $9.5 million bond facing preliminary charges of cocaine trafficking, manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.
