FIRST ON WGIL: Fire Guts Lynn's Tumbling & Trampoline in Knoxville
UPDATED 5:02 p-m 6/28/9 Firefighters from several departments responded to a destructive fire early Sunday morning in Knoxville.

Knoxville-Gilson-Appleton Fire District Chief Jeff Vendemark says crews were notified about the blaze just after 5:20 a-m and arrived to find the upper part of the building at 705 South Broad Street engulfed. The metal structure houses Lynn's Tumbling and Trampoline, which Vandemark says sustained extensive damage and may have to be torn down. An apartment near the building also sustained smoke damage.

Vandemark says his firefighters were assisted by crews from East Galesburg, Dahinda and Maquon. Nobody was hurt.

Vandemark says the fire started in the back of the building, but a cause is undetermined. He says investigators from the State Fire Marshal's Office were called to the scene.

Vandemark says firefighters didn't run into any significant problems fighting the blaze. Everyone had left the scene by 11 a-m.
