Blago Judge Says No Jury Problem to Address
CHICAGO (AP) -- The judge in former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich's corruption trial says there is no need to hold any inquiry about a conversation among prospective jurors concerning the case before the jury was chosen.

The report in Monday's Chicago Sun-Times said the discussion between perhaps four to six prospective jurors concerned the way Judge James Zagel had spoken to a young man who had sought to get out of jury duty. According to the report, one of those who overheard the discussion is now serving on the jury.

Zagel said there wasn't any problem that needed to be explored further.

Blagojevich has pleaded not guilty to scheming to profit from his power to appoint someone to President Barack Obama's old Senate seat and to plotting to launch a racketeering scheme within the governor's office.
