Patti Blagojevich Ends Lawsuit Against Ex-Employer
CHICAGO (AP) -- Patrica Blagojevich's has dropped her lawsuit against the former director of a charity where she formerly worked as a fundraiser.

The wife of the ousted former governor had claimed in her lawsuit against Richard Roberts of the Chicago Christian Industrial League that she had been defamed by allegations she stole a donors list.

In a statement Monday, attorneys for Blagojevich indicated a confidential settlement agreement had been reached with Roberts.

The lawsuit said Blagojevich was hired by the organization that helps the poor in September 2008 to raise money but later left the post.

Roberts was later quoted by Chicago newspapers as saying that when Blagojevich left the organization, she had improperly taken the list of donors.

The lawsuit said Roberts' statement subjected Patti Blagojevich "to public scorn, hatred and ridicule" and was "maliciously false and untrue."
