Ameren Illinois Sets Up Storm Trailer During Outages
UPDATED 9:45 a.m. 6/24/10 Ameren Illinois has deployed a Storm Trailer to assist in the electrical service restoration effort. The Storm Trailer is located at 1100 North East Street in Kewanee.

The Storm Trailer is mobile storeroom, stocked with the material field crews need to get the lights back on. The trailers are moved to central staging sites to provide essential materials in the areas with the greatest damage.

At 9:40 a.m. Thursday, Ameren Illinois was working to restore electrical service to about 3,000 customers in Bureau, Henderson, Henry, Knox and LaSalle counties. This is down from a peak of about 14,000 customers without power Wednesday evening in the aftermath of the storm.

Service restoration progress will continue through the day. All customers are expected to have power restored by this evening.

Ameren Illinois has used a total of 222 line and other field personnel in the service restoration effort.

Outage information is available at www.IllinoisOutage.com. Users can find outages listed by zip code and by county. The Web site also includes safety and weather information.
