Galesburg Oversized Brush Dropoff Facility Closing Until Late July
Galesburg's facility for disposing of oversized brush and limbs will close for four weeks on Monday (June 26) and reopen July 29.

The facility is located at 636 Pickard Road, just west of Farm King. Mulch is available free of charge. Bring your own shovel to load the mulch.

Refer to the Recycling and Refuse Guide, found on the city's website at www.ci.galesburg.il.us for information on disposing of yard waste year-round.

For more information on the oversized brush drop off program, call 309/345-3623. The facility schedule for the year is below:

April 15 through June 26, 2010

Thursday and Friday, 9 am - 5 pm

Saturday, 7 am - 3 pm


Closed June 27 through July 28, 2010


July 29 through September 25, 2010

Thursday and Friday, 9 am - 5 pm

Saturday, 7 am - 3 pm


October 2 through November 20, 2010

Saturdays only, 8 am to 3:30 pm
