Galesburg Cottage Hospital Names Interim CEO
Galesburg Cottage Hospital is bringing in a man with several years of administrative experience to run the local hospital on a temporary basis.

William Heburn will reportedly serve as the interim CEO at Cottage until a permanent replacement can be found for Ken Hutchenrider. Hutchenrider, a Texas native, moved back to his home state to take the job as president of Methodist Richardson Medical Center in Richardson, Texas. He begins his new duties there next month after serving four years as CEO at Cottage Hospital.

Heburn previously was the CEO at Trinity Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama and he's expected to begin at Cottage in the next two weeks. Heburn has worked for the company that owns Cottage Hospital, Community Health Systems, in a management role for close to four decades.

A search is underway to find a permanent successor for Hutchenrider. Officials said earlier this month that there was no specific timeline to hire the new CEO.
