Illinios Prepares for Reagan's 100th Birthday
EUREKA, Ill. (AP) -- If he were still alive, President Ronald Reagan would turn 100 on Feb. 6, and Illinois is planning a party. A long one.

The Illinois Reagan Centennial Commission on Thursday opened up a website dedicated to the former president and Illinois native's 100th birthday. A few events are already listed but far more are expected to be added _ two years worth, in fact.

They include Ronald Reagan Day at Wrigley Field next summer and dozens of events next year in Tampico, where he was born, and Dixon, where he grew up. Tampico is about 130 miles west of Chicago. Dixon is about 30 miles northeast of Tampico.

Eureka College is Reagan's alma mater, and events there are expected to start in January with an academic conference.
