3-Point Competition at Railroad Days
Basketball returned to Railroad Days this year, but not in the form of a three on three tournament.

Leadership Greater Galesburg put on a three-point competition, for all ages.

Participants played for points by shooting from three different positions behind the three-point line.

Nine-year-old Andrew Ricco of Galesburg was a medalist in his age group of nine and under.

He tells WGIL he enjoys basketball and playing at Railroad Days was a good fit.

"I get to shoot hoops, it was good, I got second place."

Despite the fact Ricco was competing against other children, he could be heard from the sidelines cheering them on.

"Because I want to be a good sport."

Kyce Jacobs took the top spot over Ricco. 14year old Chermon Jones and Jordan Painter were first and second respectively in the 10 to 20 year old age category.

Top spots in the 21 and over group went to Spencer Rand and Jason Love. There was a also a teams tournament.
