Blago Judge Says Jurors to Remain Anonymous
CHICAGO (AP) -- The judge presiding over former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich's corruption trial has denied a request from news organizations to make the names of the jurors public.

U.S. District Judge James Zagel said Thursday that jurors already were told they would remain anonymous during trial to prevent anyone from trying to contact them improperly.

He also says the motion filed Tuesday by the media groups, including The Associated Press, came too late.

The motion said the public has a right to know who is deciding the case in which the ex-governor is charged with plotting to sell President Barack Obama's former Senate seat.

Jury selection for the trial of Blagojevich and his brother -- Nashville, Tenn., businessman Robert Blagojevich -- begins Thursday. Both have both pleaded not guilty.
