Jurors Sworn In at Blago Trial
CHICAGO (AP) -- Jurors have been sworn in at the corruption trial of former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich.

The panel of 11 women and seven men includes the alternates. Judge James Zagel says the jury will hear opening arguments Tuesday afternoon.

In his instructions, Zagel told jurors that the burden of proof is on the government. And he told them to keep an open mind and not to form conclusions until they begin deliberating at the end of the trial.

Earlier, defense attorney Sam Adam Jr. told Zagel that Blagojevich would like to attend his daughter's grammar-school graduation later Tuesday and suggested the openings could begin Wednesday instead.

An emphatic judge said he wouldn't agree to any delay and suggested the loquacious Adam shorten his opening.
