Korean War Museum Idea Moved to Chicago
(IRN)-Ideas for a national museum to tell the story of the Korean War have shifted from Springfield to the Chicago area.

U. S. Representative Dan Lipinski (D-Western Springs) says he hopes a temporary location can start things off before a permanent location can be built. Efforts for a Korean War National Museum have stalled, probably forever.

"I put an amendment into the national defense authorization bill saying that Congress supports this museum," says Lipinski, who adds he's visited Panmunjom and other Korean sites. He says even if people disagree with the conflicts of Korea, Vietnam, and those of today, they should still honor the troops.
