Knoxville Woman Arrested in Connection to Fatal DUI Crash
A second arrest has been made following an April car accident that killed 15-year old Brandon Melton.

49-year old Jean Lenz of Knoxville was recently arrested on a charge of unlawful delivery of alcohol to a minor.

According to a state police press release, Lenz is accused of providing alcohol to people involved in the April 22 fatal accident.

19-year old Jose Beltran of Gilson was driving with three passengers when his car struck a utility pole and rolled several times.

Melton was pronounced dead at the scene and two other 15-year olds were transported to a hospital and treated for injuries.

Beltran was arrested for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, illegal consumption of alcohol by minor, driving under the influence of alcohol and aggravated driving under the influence.

He will make a first appearance in court June 17th, though it is not clear at this time when Lenz will appear in court.

Lenz faces a Class 4 felony charge which could carry up to 3 years in prison and a 25-thousand dollar fine if convicted.
